There are over ten different manufacturers for aftermarket car radios, speakers and amplifiers. Each manufacturer can have over ten different models within their product line of car radios. Car radio models change according to features and specifications. One of the most common emails received is, "I have no audio after installing and aftermarket car stereo". In most cases, the installation has a factory amplifier. Hooking up the blue wire from the aftermarket stereo to the aftermarket wire harness will power the amplifier on. You may not be happy with the sound quality and have to bypass the factory amplifier. Bypassing the factory amplifier may cause the loss of some speakers.
